Dr. Sarangi comes from a family of physicians, so his decision to pursue medicine was easy.
"Both my parents are physicians, so early on, I understood what this life would be like," he said. "My wife, a physician too, and our children have been very supportive in my journey."
His choice to pursue cardiac surgery comes from his fascination with the human heart.
"The human heart is a wonderful and highly efficient pump," he said. "I love working with it."
Dr. Sarangi is a proud husband and father of two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys going on road trips with his family, photography and listening to all genres of music, especially rock.
