Growing up in Wheaton, Illinois, Maureen Cain, APRN, always liked to help people, making a career in medicine a natural fit.
"I love neurology because no matter what specialty you work in, the neurological system usually is involved," Maureen said.
During an appointment, Maureen listens to her patients and includes them in forming their treatment plan.
"I like the OSF philosophy, especially the emphasis on protecting the personal worth and dignity of every person we serve regardless of race, color, religion and ability to pay," Maureen said.
Maureen and her husband are very active in their church. They have two grown children and three grandkids.
"I love to play with my grandchildren, especially outside," Maureen said. "We like to play kickball, tennis, hide-and-seek, anything that gets them out and running."
