Lindsay has always loved medicine and was fascinated about the human body starting at an early age.
"This love has stayed with me as I have grown. I enjoy that health care is a field that is constantly changing as science progresses, and this challenges my mind," Lindsay said.
Having grown up in the Champaign area, Lindsay moved to Bloomington to attend Illinois State University and fell in love with the community.
Working for OSF HealthCare was an easy decision for Lindsay. "The values of OSF align with the way that I want to treat my patients – as partners in their health care decisions," she said.
And working in internal medicine at OSF HealthCare Medical Group – College Avenue allows Lindsay to be with a group of "passionate providers and nurses who are always willing to work as a team to do what is best for the patients."
Being a nurse practitioner in primary care gives Lindsay the opportunity to build relationships with her patients. "I am able to help people set their own health goals celebrate with them when they achieve those goals," she said.
During an appointment with Lindsay, patients can expect her to be thorough and listen to their concerns. She also encourages patients to collaborate with her to create a realistic treatment plan that will work in their lives.
"I want my patients to feel open and be able to share any questions they might have, and if I don't know the answer, I will make every attempt to find it or provide them with the resources they need," she said.
Lindsay is married, and has a 2-year-old son. When not working, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods, learning about other cultures and being outdoors.
