My goal as a surgeon is to use my extensive training and knowledge to provide my patients with the best possible outcomes and to do so with compassion and respect.
A significant influence on Dr. Behr's decision to pursue a career in medicine was his father, retired orthopedic surgeon Jeff Behr, MD.
"I have great memories from when I was young accompanying my father to the hospitals when he made rounds," he said. "Observing his kindness and warmth, as he interacted with his patients, made a powerful and lasting impression."
Dr. Behr enjoys appointments with new patients.
"I love getting to know my patients," he said. "I also want my patients to know that together, we will spend as much time as needed to go through surgical and non-surgical options to determine the best plan of care."
Dr. Behr is a Rockford native. He is the proud father of one daughter, Elaina. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys golfing, fishing and hiking.
