I believe in being a patient advocate. I collaborate with my patient and their family to provide high quality, holistic care.
Carrie chose to work for OSF HealthCare because she believes in treating people with care and compassion.
"I want my patients to know that the provider/patient relationship is a collaboration," she said. "I am a great listener, and we will work together to come up with solutions and treatments."
Before she pursued a career in health care, Carrie was a librarian.
"I switched careers after staying home for several years with my kids," she said. "I had a premature baby and spent a lot of time in the hospital with him and was drawn to the chance to make a difference in people's lives. Specializing in ENT provides the opportunity to treat a variety of medical and surgical conditions, which I love. I also enjoy working with all age ranges."
Carrie and her husband, Sam, a Bloomington firefighter, have six kids between them. When not working, she loves traveling with her family, walking her two retired racing greyhounds, reading and cooking.
