The body has an innate ability to heal itself. As a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, my role is to help children heal orthopedic maladies with surgery when necessary and non-operative measures when at all possible.
Andy Michalowitz, DO, wants his patients and their families to know he will treat them as if they are his own family.
"I like to get to know my pediatric patients and their families and make them feel at ease as we solve their problems together," he said.
Dr. Michalowitz enjoys pediatric orthopedics because it gives him the unique opportunity to help people feel happier and do the things they love.
"This is even more evident with children, who are often so eager to get back on the playground with their friends."
