I strive to connect and properly communicate with my patients. It is important to me that they feel validated, understood and comfortable with their plan of care.
Alyssa's initial draw to medicine was during high school, when she experienced a sports-related injury.
"It was the first time I was exposed to the medical field," she said. "After that, one college course after another re-affirmed my interest and love for the human body and my strong desire to help people."
Making sure her patients feel comfortable is extremely important to Alyssa.
"I'm genuine and honest, and I strive to show compassion to everyone," she said. "I want my patients to know that I am always available and willing to take the time to help and address their needs."
Alyssa grew up in Pennsylvania. She is married with two children. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, cooking and reading.
