When I see patient, I take all the time necessary to explain what is going on in a manner that they can understand. I also take the time to review their tests and different surgical approaches that might be needed with them.
Dr. Sanz is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and speaks fluent Spanish. He moved to the United States to continue his medical education. When the opportunity to work at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony's Health Center became available, he knew it was where he wanted to be. The thing that attracted me to OSF HealthCare was the Sisters. When I came to interview, I was surprised that there was a convent next to the hospital and that actual Sisters work next to me, Dr. Sanz said. I am Catholic, and I believe in the ideals and principles of Catholicism, so OSF HealthCare was an ideal opportunity for me. Dr. Sanz became a surgeon because he likes to help people, fixing challenging problems head-on. First, I take all the time that is necessary to explain what is going on in an easy to understand manner, Dr. Sanz said. I also take the time to review the pathology, imaging, as well as different surgical approaches that might be needed.
